About the Lancia Delta S4 1986 Monte Carlo Rally Winne The Lancia Delta S4 was the rally car which won the first round of the 1986 WRC Monte Carlo Rally. The body kept the Delta family car image but the chassis adopted a steel pipe space frame structure and was equipped with the inline-four engine in the midship. It was a Group B model that challenged the rally field by combining a full-time 4WD mechanism. The works team Delta S4s with Martini livery were driven by Henri Toivonen and Markku Al�n, and Toivonen successfully won the championship. The Lancia Delta S4 won consecutively in the following final RAC rally in 1985 and showed its high performance.
